Why do I need to use Tri-Solfen?

The mulesing operation causes pain and stress to lambs. Average losses of 10% body weight have been demonstrated in the first week following the procedure. Tri-Solfen numbs and soothes the wound and prevents excessive bleeding. This greatly reduces the pain and stress endured by the lamb and improves mobility and feeding.

How does Tri-Solfen work?

Tri-Solfen works to numb and soothe the wound in 3 ways
1. A mixture of fast and long acting anaesthetic agents quickly numb the wound, beginning within 1-3 minutes and lasting for several hours.
2. A “vasoconstrictor” acts on the cut blood vessels to stop the bleeding. This may help lessen the attraction to flies and prevent heavy crust formation.
3. An antiseptic agent provides a moisturising film over the wound and helps to prevent infection.
